Beach Civil War Encampment Hamlin Beach State Park, Hamlin.
Hosted by the 4th South Carolina, 5h Virginia Company A, 43rd
Virginia Cavalry, 49th New York, Company H and 94th New –York.
The park gives us full use of the park facilities (hot showers,
flush toilets and the beach). Wood, straw, hay for horses and
water provided. Large battlefield for infantry, artillery and
mounted cavalry. Battles Saturday and Sunday. Other activities
include a "Summer Tea," court martial, first-person
impersonations, ladies day at the beach (weather permitting),
period dance Saturday night and church service Sunday morning.
Your ideas and scenarios welcome. Both authentic and modern
camps. We pay a bounty for artillery which takes the field.
Pre-registration fee: $5 for reenactors by Aug. 4 or $8 for
