David Erickson

Hello,
It was with the greatest sorrow that I received the sadden news about his
passing. I only hade a few chance encounters with him but those I still
remember. I found him to be not only an asset to our re-enacting world but
to that of our fellow man.
Dave, you shall be missed.

Dave passed away last night after
fighting a brave fight. Lisa and Miles are doing very well considering
the circumstances. Lisa thanks everyone for their support and good
wishes.
Arrangements have been made at Prudden
and Kandt Funeral Home on Genesee Street in Lockport. Visitation is
between 1 and 5 on Sunday and the funeral will be at 10 on Monday at the
funeral home, with burial at Cold Springs immediately following.
Lisa hopes anyone who wants to come can
be there to help celebrate David's life.

I am so sorry to hear about David. If you talk to Lisa tell her she and
Miles are in my prayers. I will be out of town for the next week so
please keep me posted on my e-mail as I check it while I am gone.
I was in her position just 9 months ago and my heart goes out to her.

Back in 2003
when I first joined with the Civil War reenactors in Lockport, we had our
Christmas party at the Van Horn Mansion. There we had our meal and
afterwards, our gift exchange where Dave Erickson was the center of
attention, for which I believe he truly enjoyed. For those of you that
were there, here are are few pictures to bring back some memories.
Dave could be a real character at times.
