Welcome to Gabriel's Legion. We are a group of Confederate Reenactors and Living History Independent Groups located mostly in the Eastern United States. There are currently also a few Union Groups in our Legion. Our goal is to educate the public on one of the most turbulent times In United States History. We consist of two divisions that promote a family atmosphere at all times and strive to enjoy the fun of our hobby. We encourage all remarks regarding this hobby and also are always looking for new recruits as well as groups to join us. Gabriel's Legion is a organization that does not discriminate toward any Race, Religion, or otherwise. Men and Women are welcome. Feel free to join our group and forward any comments.
So, who are we, you may ask? Well, we are a Civil War Re-enacting Unit out of Perry, N.Y. We are a Venture Crew with the Boy Scouts of America, part of Iroquois Trail Council. The goal of our unit is to honor those who fought and died for this country during the Civil War. Re-enacting gives us a chance to teach others and ourselves about this crucial time in American History.
Crewmembers are both male and females from the ages of 14-20. Though the youth are the members, the unit invites anyone to join. An adult must accompany children under 14 until they are of age and advisors are anyone 21 and older. Re-enactments take place during the summer, and the warmer months of the year. During the winter we have monthly meetings, usually on the 4th Saturday of every month. Dues are $15 per year, and meetings cover upcoming events, first aid, Gun Safety, and other special interests.
